How do I place an order?

We have two separate forms on our website for cake/cupcakes and treats. Depending on which section you would like to book for, you can fill those out and we will get back to you within 48-72 hours of your submission. We ask that you place your order at least two weeks in advance. Orders placed after the two week mark may be subject to a “rush fee.”

How do I pay?

Once an inquiry form is completed and your order has been discussed and confirmed with A Fifth of Sugar, you will receive an invoice. This invoice will contain the amount due at the time of booking which is 50% of your total balance as a non-refundable retainer. Another invoice will be sent for the remaining 50% of your balance which is due exactly 1 week before the booking date.

How do I care for my cake and treats?

During transport, please place your items on a flat surface such as the floor of the car or the trunk. Do not place the items on the seats and do not hold the items on your lap as these surfaces are slanted and may cause damage to your custom goods. Once the transportation is over, we recommend keeping items in the refrigerator to preserve its freshness and prevent melting. For cakes, they should be taken out 1-2 hours before serving to allow them to come to room temperature. All items purchased from A Fifth of Sugar come with a care card. Please follow the instructions on the card carefully.

Do you make gluten free or vegan cakes?

At this time, A Fifth of Sugar does not create gluten free or vegan cakes. Please place all allergens on your inquiry form and we will be able to better assist you.
